Drummin' it up for New Year

I always preferred the run-up to the New Year since it's way more far-reaching and permanent than Christmas. 

Due to work and commission commitments, I've not had much oppurtunity to do any sketches beyond daily sketches.  So, this is me rushing to have something up for DA since it's been a bit abandoned lately.  This is probably the first and last time I'm ever drawing a chesnaught because... ack... reaaaaallly difficult body to adapt.   Ah well, enjoy and if I don't post anything again for a while, Happy New Year!

T/L note: the huge drum in the middle is a daiko, which I've seen in real life at Japanese festivals.  On New Year's Day on Japanese television, there's always a big music... event thing on where traditional Japanese instrument-players compete, kind of like a less vapid version of those music competitions.
